Also known as the veiled bride or veiled maiden, this sculpture was created by the Italian sculptor Raphaelle Monti, who came to live and work in England, 1850.

In 1875 the Duke gave Copeland permission to reproduce this subject in Parian ware (porcelain imitating marble), and Copeland commissioned Monti to make this bust for them. Height: 35.5 cm (13.9). Width: 22 cm (8.6). Depth: 17 cm (6.6). Weight: 6.8 kg (14.9lbs).
